Substantial Hailstones and Extensive Impact

Homeowners reported substantial frozen pellets reaching sizes of 7 centimeters in certain regions. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that different parts across the state had been impacted by large hailstones.

Damp conditions were forecast to persist along large portions of eastern Queensland this coming days as a low-pressure trough continued to draw in moisture against the coastal areas.

Tuesday was predicted as the most rainy day, with continued thunderstorm potential anticipated across different parts of both areas.

Health officials warned that there was an increased chance of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the countryside regions, especially given the ongoing climate situation.
